We had to keep it confidential until now!

We have been quiet for a while but we were hard at work and preparing for something which is to become a big milestone in Growot`s history.

Growot has been chosen to be a part of one of the most prominent hardware startup accelerators in the world: Haxlr8r
The program involves spending 3 intensive months in China right next to manufacturing centres, factories and biggest electronic markets and offers incredible help needed to build the smartest and most beautiful indoor gardening solution.

We are honoured to have you as a part of this journey and want to thank each one of you for your support. Long way ahead of us but we are determined to make it happen. In a meantime here is a few info about Hax.

China, World Class Mentors and a Makers Movement

Hardware is becoming a new software, connected devices are popping up everywhere and developing a hardware start-up seem to be easier than ever thanks to crowd-funding, globalisation and improved access to materials. Yet the process of building a successful hardware company is far from well-established as for software start-ups and the set of challenges faced by hardware companies is very different. Cyril Ebersweiler and Sean O`Sullivan – founders of Hax, recognized that and set up Hax to bring us step closer on a hardware revolution.
As a part of the program we will be moving to China, Shenzhen the heart of booming electronic markets to transform our prototype into a functional companie. Here we can quickly build and iterate while working closely with factories, source components and test the prototype on the ground.
Opportunity to be in China was a big win for us! But Hax also gathers some of the best mentors across the world both from business and hardware perspective.
Some of them are Brad Feld (Foundry Group), Mitch Altman (TV-B-Gone), Bill Liao (Xing/SOSventures), Eric Pan (SeeedStudio), Sean O’Sullivan (Mapinfo/Avego) and Cyril Ebersweiler. Having an opportunity to interact with these people and get their advice on our project is just invaluable.

Vision —> Reality

Its an incredible feeling seeing others believing in your vision. Time to turn this vision into a reality !
We feel extremely lucky to have an opportunity to be a part of the program, but we are most excited about the future it can bring and can’t wait to see how our prototype being transformed into what we hope will become a future of personal food production.
Thank you for supporting us and being with us.
Any advice what we should pack up on our trip to China? Would love to hear from you
